A meeting took place in GMIT on 13th of May 2008. Presentations on GMIT's research were given. Energy MAster/ TC Mach representatives presented few case studies where renewable energy technologies were used.
An air source heat pump has been installed for TESSA experimental facility. Heat pump was delivered and installed by Energy Master on 6th of May 2008.
Electrical outlet, cold water feeds, heat pump foundation and containers postaments were put in place during March - April 2008.
Building and Estates office from GMIT applied for planning permission for TESSA site. It was granted in March 2008.

A number of fish farms were visited as part of identifying current practices. Visits took place between September 2007 and February 2008.
Laurentiu Dimache started as full time researcher on TESSA project on 1st of June 2007.
